As the City of Hollister continues to grow and with increasing interest from developers in locating businesses in the City, the City Staff has worked hard to create a “developer friendly” economic development culture. The City is currently working on affordable housing and several large transportation projects, including a new downtown bridge, the proposed East-West Road and a new regional outer entertainment District, currently under construction. The estimated value of the entertainment District is $220 million. The Parks and Recreation Department operates an aggressive parks development program each year and provides partnership, field maintenance support of the Ozark Mountain Family YMCA, who offers organized athletic programs to area residents and guests.
